The ramblings of our ancient building provide multiple spaces for hosting group gatherings that respect the Covid-19 regulations while creating an attractive backdrop for your memorable moments.
Inside, the nature of our building means that all four of our dining areas can be booked exclusively, separately or altogether, for your party.
We regularly host celebrations for birthdays, anniversaries, summer parties, Christmas parties and wedding receptions.
The Dining Room spreads 20 guests from doorway to fireplace within its rich red walls. Reached via a handful of steps it isn’t accessible for all.
The Conservatory seats up to 15 guests enjoying the pouring of natural light through its glass roof. Access to the loo for all guests is adjacent to this space, so it’s not our most secluded area.
The Snug Bar centres around our flagstone fireplace and boasts all the hallmarks of an ancient hostelry. The fireplace is a magnet for the cold and the curious, and the high-back pews lining the outer edges beckon up to 16 guests to settle in and soak it all up.
The Kitchen Dining Room enjoys proximity to the pass and the tease of all things cooking. Up to 14 guests can enjoy all this within the warmth of its soft yellow walls.
The Observatory covered our courtyard and dining pods, and leads to the stable. Even in winter these spaces are warm and sheltered from the elements and enchanting in their own special way.
The Georgian Stable can accommodate up to 24 guests in its four original stalls and cobbled floor. Lighting and decoration bring the magic while the wood burner pushes out the heat. And just outside the entrance is your private bar.
10 al fresco dining pods occupy the courtyard and in winter are covered by our clear-roofed, heated Observatory for dining beneath the stars. Each one seats 4-6 guests and the pods are more than sufficiently socially distanced from each other, so you can celebrate in style safely.
Current restrictions require us to limit table sizes to 6 guests. Groups of larger than 6 are obliged to book multiple tables and we must discourage mingling away from your allocated table.
