CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS TOGETHER THIS YEAR
Let’s celebrate Christmas in Oxford like it never happened last year (maybe it didn’t, for many). Throughout December (and from the end of November if that suits your diaries better), we’ll be running our group Christmas party menu.
We’ll be open for Christmas Day and Boxing Day lunches and we have fabulous music and dining planned for New Year’s Eve. Dine with us inside or out, The White Hart fits cosy gatherings and lively celebrations due to its unique period features and clever use of outdoor space – whatever the weather.
The Observatory will be enclosed and heated with blankets available for you to host your celebrations in our media-acclaimed dining pods. Make use of the raise deck as a stage for any entertainment you wish to bring along to your Christmas party.
Our Georgian stable block with its vast roaring log burner and original stalls creates a simply unique and intimate venue if you’re bringing friends, colleagues or family together yet seek the privacy of your own space.
Christmas 2021 dates of note:
- Christmas Day lunch served from 12-4pm is FULLY BOOKED
- Boxing Day will be a relaxed and convivial Sunday lunch service with tables available 12-4pm
- New Year’s Eve will be a spectacle of live music and delicious dining – book your taxis and get your gladrags at the ready!

- Monday 27 & Tuesday 28 December, lunch only, 12-4pm
- Wednesday 29 & Thursday 30 December, normal hours
- New Year’s Eve – closed for lunch, book for evening event
- New Year’s Day – lunch only, 12-4pm
- Sunday 2 January – lunch only, 12-4pm
- 3-5 January – closed
- Reopen Thursday 6 January

Christmas parties are catered for over lunch or dinner, Monday to Friday from the end of November until 23 December.
Our Christmas party menu caters for most dietary requirements, those of you longing for turkey as well as anyone simply looking for a flavour-oriented meal out.

Christmas Day at The White Hart of Wytham promises friendly and festive cheer, a reasonable chance of a roaring open fire, and a delicious feast whether you opt for traditional turkey or something a little different.
Our Christmas Day menu caters for many dietary requirements and there is ample choice of flavours depending on individual tastes.
christmas bookings faq
- £10 per person non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of booking
- Christmas party bookings will be asked to pre-order and provide orders at least 7 days ahead of the booking date
- Should you need to move your booking due to Covid, we will endeavour to accommodate you before the Christmas period. Alternatively, your deposit can be carried forward on any booking in January 2022.
