Our a la carte menu is subject to daily change to reflect the availability of the freshest and most seasonal produce. It is not an extensive menu since everything is prepared fresh everyday. We seek to put quality over quantity at all times.

Not so long ago, the fayre offered by this country inn would have been exclusively produced from what was hand-reared, hunted, seeded and foraged from our local woods, fields, hedgerows , river and, not least our dovecote.
Weary stage-coach travellers would have been warmly welcomed in every season of the year and offered a daily changing feast of a menu – roasted, smoked, pickled and cured. No food wasted, everything cooked fresh daily, and everything sourced from within a short horse and cart ride away.
Today, our ethos and commitment to farm-to-table, free range, locally sourced ingredients is not only a never-ending quest to serve food with real taste, it’s to ensure that we take seriously our responsibility to the environment and sustainability. It’s also to provide you with, we hope, something special, that’s well worth the effort, skill and time it takes to serve it to you. We hope you enjoy your visit.
