Both Stacey Kent and Ronnie Scott’s All Stars have now been rescheduled for 21st April 2021 and 17th February 2021 respectively.

All tickets are valid for these new dates.  I will in due course be able to offer refunds if you do not wish or cannot attend the new date.  I’m sure you will understand that I will have to wait until we are open and trading again in order to process any refunds.

Celebrating 60-years since the founding of one of the world’s most iconic music venues, the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars take to the road to celebrate the ‘Ronnie Scott’s Story’.

Direct from London’s world-famous jazz club and combining world class live jazz and narration, The Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, take you on a guided, musical tour of this music institution.  Set amongst the dive bars and jazz jook joints of London’s Soho, we hear about the desperate hand-to-mouth finances of the early years and the frequent police raids.  We hear how Ronnie’s became neutral ground within rife gang territory and their scrapes with gangsters including the Krays who were rumoured to have taken Ronnie and Pete “for a little drive”!  Life at Ronnie’s is evocatively re-imagined through tales of the club’s past visitors, from pop stars, film stars and politicians to comedians and royalty, but above all, the musicians.

Featuring classic music from the jazz greats who have performed at Ronnie Scott’s, alongside tales of old Soho, miscreant musicians and police raids, ‘The Ronnie Scott’s Story is a glimpse into this unique world and its incredible history.

Hosted and performed by the award-winning Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, led by the Club’s Musical Director, this is a unique evening celebrating the music and history of Ronnie Scott’s and is a must for any music fan.

Stacey Kent

The internationally acclaimed, Grammy-nominated vocalist, Stacey Kent, returns to the White Hart , featuring music from her Sony Music album release ‘I Know I Dream’ (Sony Music/Okeh) alongside a collection of numbers from her previous albums, including the Grammy nominated ‘Breakfast on the Morning Tram’.

Stacey’s visit here is with her 5-piece band, forms part of Stacey’s worldwide concert tour featuring a beautiful collection of songs, including American Standards, Bossa Nova classics, Chansons, as well as original songs and reprises of some of Stacey’s most loved repertoire – including numbers co-written by Nobel prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro, whose songwriting partnership with Stacey has formed an essential plank of her repertoire.

With career sales approaching 2 million albums, Stacey’s 11^th studio album, ‘I Know I Dream’, is a highlight not only for its breathtaking beauty but also for its assured expressiveness.   The Album follows ‘Tenderly’ (2015), an intimate collaboration with Brazilian music master, Robert Menescal. Stacey’s previous albums include, the Brazilian-flavored, ‘The Changing Lights’, (2013), ‘Dreamer In Concert’ (2011), recorded live in Paris at La Cigale, her all-French, ‘Raconte-moi’ (2010), and the Platinum-selling, Grammy nominated, ‘Breakfast on the Morning Tram’ (2007).

I Know I Dream – The Album

With over 2 million albums sold, a Grammy nomination and international recognition as one of the most successful and prolific jazz vocalist of her time, Stacey Kent stands strong among the artists that don’t have much left to prove.  However, she surprises us once more with her brand new album, I Know I Dream. Recorded inside the famous Angel Studios in London with an orchestra of around 60 musicians, this is her first orchestral album in a career that spans two decades and more than 15 albums.

Meticulously produced by Tommy Lawrence and Stacey’s longtime collaborator (and husband) Jim Tomlinson, the songs are arranged in a way that they are transporting the listeners instead of the size of the orchestra, which brings harmony and depth to the record and to the stories it tells. The most important thing for Stacey Kent was “to keep our sensibility and, at the center of everything, our sense of intimacy”.

I Know I Dream revisits in fact the quintessence of her repertoire and soul with three songs in French (Juliette Greco’s Les Amours Perdues, originally written by Serge Gainsbourg, Nino Ferrer’s La Rua Madureira and Léo Ferré’s Avec le temps), four new compositions and five covers of Brazilian timeless classics including, for example, Carlos Jobim’s Photograph. I Know I Dream is a majestic and smooth delight, both panoramic and intimate at the same time: a self-portrait with a big orchestra, like a confidence whispered with 58 accomplices.

Stacey Kent is a jazz singer in the mould of the greatest, with a legion of fans worldwide, a host of honors and awards including a Grammy nomination, album sales approaching 2 million, Gold, Double-Gold and Platinum-selling albums that have reached a series of No. 1 chart positions during the span of her career.
