An Evening of G-Astronomy: An Introduction to the Wonders of the Night Sky
March 2 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
£40.00Join us for a night beneath the stars in our Observatory to feast on the menu as much as the stars. Adrian West, author of The Secret World of Stargazing, will bring our Observatory to life as a new moon shines in the night sky. His book is for all ages and as such older children may enjoy the evening too. As well as relating his own stargazing stories, Adrian will share tips on what to look out for in the night sky, and if the night is clear he will take us outside and show us how to identify the visible planets and constellations in the skies above Wytham.
Known online as VirtualAstro, Adrian is behind one of the largest independent astronomy and space accounts on social media. He is the creator of the sell-out Night Sky theatre show, provides Night Sky Tours for the National Trust, and writes articles on astronomy and space. Passionate about nature and the night sky, Adrian has been stargazing since childhood, and uses his platform to inspire people to look up. His book provides a sense of grounding, an opportunity for connection, fascinating expertise and a whole new appreciation of the sky above.
Adrian will be signing copies of his book during the evening too.
Just imagine what you’ll experience this evening with us!
